Safe Pair of Hands

Obama's trip abroad was to reassure Americans, or so he says.

U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama hopes his visit to Europe and the Middle East will show U.S. voters that he is a safe pair of hands, the Democrat said in an interview on Friday. Reuters

A *SAFE* pair of hands? Safe to dip into my pockets and divest me of my hard earned cash? A safe pair of hands to make us a popular country again? What is a safe pair of hands? My doctor has a fairly safe pair of hands. As does my ob/gyn. My husband's hands are far more safe than Obama's. Why do I need another pair of safe hands?

I want a pair of Presidential hands that aren't afraid to get dirty. My President's hands need to sign bills that aren't comfortable to sign, but do it anyway to make sure my country...my children remain safe from whatever might be threatening to us. Playing safe has never done anything but make a person look weak and indecisive. Like Obama. Weak and indecisive. I suppose that makes him a safe pair of hands. In a weak kneed, faint of heart, lily livered, sap sucker, cowardly sort of way.

"What this trip has done is allowed me to talk about some of the critical issues we face," Obama said in an interview broadcast on CNBC television on Friday.

"It has also allowed me to send a message to the American people that the judgments I have made and the judgments I will make are ones that are going to result in them being safer," he added. It was not clear when the interview was conducted.

Obama is trying to allay concerns among U.S. voters and address accusations from his Republican challenger John McCain that Obama, 46, a first-term senator from Illinois, lacks the experience in foreign affairs necessary to run the country.

So he goes to a foreign country to do this instead of making his case here, on American soil, in front of the people who want to make him President? Don't any of you Obamamites feel betrayed? Aren't you angry that he feels he has to hide behind the Europeans while making his case to you as to why he should be elected?

I don't like McCain, but I will be voting for him in November. At least he has the brass balls to stand on our own soil and try to sell us out.

In other news:

Hurricane *experts* are investigating the unusually active July Hurricanes. Let me help them. It's global warming. Never mind the return of La Nina that has an impact on ocean temperatures. Never mind there's no real conclusive, hard balled evidence of global warming. It's global warming anyway. So stop wasting tax dollars given to you by the government to investigate active hurricanes in HURRICANE SEASON like its a crime. The culprit is global warming. Now, go back to your regularly scheduled programs, move along, nothing to see here.
