Impeach Nancy Pelosi

[Edit: Moved from bottom of post to top to be more clear] All I can say is, someone out there voted to put her in office, when she's up for re-election put her back out on her ass. [Edit: As Perri Nelson noted in comments, she probably can't be impeached anyway, censured maybe.]

Democrats are in more trouble than they think over the next couple of election cycles.

Now back to the original post:

Now there's a switch! I was on Facebook and noted one of my friends had joined a group called Impeach Nancy Pelosi. Wouldn't that be fun to watch? After all these years of listening to people cry for Bush's impeachment for imaginary war crimes, Pelosi is now on the IMPEACH list!

There's also Impeach The Speaker Their statement is as follows: Nancy Pelosi has violated nearly every campaign promise, usurped presidential authority in her hunger for power and recognition in the Middle East, violated the Logan Act and impaired America's safety by personally killing the Protect America Act. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the rest of partisan Democratic leadership must be held accountable for acts in which they promote their self interests to the detriment of America.

Sign The Petition The Minority Report first started this an attempt to blow off some steam, but the idea developed life and legs of its own. We the undersigned agree that, due to an overwhelming lack of competence, dereliction of duty, and failure to act on behalf of the American public, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) should be removed from her role a Speaker and dismissed from her post as Representative of the 8th District of the great state of California.

The Mahatma X Files While I seriously take offense to this blogger's acceptance of ILLEGAL immigrants as being perfectly fine, breaking a law is breaking a law, regardless of your reason for doing it, he does want Ms. Pelosi removed from office. Her "leadership" on the FISA bill catastrophe is just one of many reasons. There's even a reasonable candidate running against her, for those inclined to vote this November.

Oh, and before any of you haul off and say "yeah, the Dems have been disappointing but we have no choice but to vote for them any way," just stop. That drivel is not going to work with me.

Facebook With the Speakers stated position not to allow a vote on the floor of the United States House of Representatives which would address energy reform and offshore drilling while we are in the midst of rising fuel costs and a 70% dependence on foreign oil, Nancy Pelosi has demonstrated a complete unwillingness to act as the people's agent. Instead, she has stubbornly opted to stand on ideology and partisan politics instead of heeding the will of the American people.

Goes to show when you tick off the masses, the masses just might turn on you.

I don't believe that members of Congress can be impeached. They can be censured, and they can be expelled by their houses, but it requires a two-thirds vote from their house. That's not going to happen as long as the Democrats hold a majority, or as long as we have RINOs on the other side of the aisle.

I think in the speaker's case that the best thing we can hope for is that Cindy Sheehan succeeds in her bid to take her seat. Sheehan's not going to be speaker, and we'd only be trading one liberal loon for another. San Francisco isn't going to elect a conservative in our lifetimes.

Failing that, and in fact, instead of hoping for that, we really should be concentrating much more on all of our local races, and on any congressional races we can. Congress is the branch of the government most responsible for all of our woes. Getting rid of the morons, the liars, the corrupt and the socialists/communists ought to be our goal if we ever want to see a return to the Constitutionally limited government our founding fathers fought and died for.

Oh, and you might want to consider joining Blogs Against Nancy Pelosi. I'm pretty sure I can convince the owner of that blogroll to let you join. ;-)

I know she can't be impeached. I find it amusing that there is the attempt to start something going on out there, hence the last couple of sentemces at the bottom of my post.

I think I'll move those last sentences to the top of the post to make it more clear.

Thanks though, I'll look at the Blogs against Nancy Pelosi later tonight.
