Qualifications for the Office of President
Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.
Term limit amendment - US Constitution, Amendment XXII, Section 1 – ratified February 27, 1951
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
That's it. No fancy education required. No previous experience required. You have to be a citizen. Period.
To be Vice President:
A person must be a native-born citizen at least 35 years of age and a resident of the united states for at least 14 years.The Vice President is elected for a term of four years.This official's only constitutional duty (unless he or she succeeds to the presidency or serves temporarily as acting President) is to preside over the Senate.Since the adoption of the 25th Amendment in 1967,the President has had the power to nominate a new Vice President whenever that office becomes vacant,upon confirmation by a majority vote of both houses of congress,the nominee assumes office.
No foreign policy experience required. No fancy degree required. Just a regular US citizen.
So tell me again, why Sarah Palin is unqualified to serve as Vice President or President for that matter?
The job description can be applied to Barak Obama's aspirations to become President as well. So get over it Liberals. Palin *IS* qualified under the exact same job description as Obama. Find some real issues to argue your point on or shut up.
