You Knew This Was Comin'

[Edit] It didn't take too long to clear up the accusation of cheating.

Told You He Wouldn't Lie

True to my word: This blog just became a Blog For McCain.

Now, I return you to the original post while I find a decent Blog for McCain widget.

Channeling my inner Obamanuts: McCain couldn't have been able to answer those questions so well! He's too old to think that fast! He was cheating!

Same as George W Bush cheated at those debates with Kerry.

Obama really isn't that stupid or slow or inarticulate! He's the messiah!

This is how the New York Times opens its hit piece this morning:
Despite Assurances, McCain Wasn’t in a ‘Cone of Silence’
By KATHARINE Q. SEELYE
Published: August 17, 2008
ORLANDO, Fla. — Senator John McCain was not in a “cone of silence” on Saturday night while his rival, Senator Barack Obama, was being interviewed at the Saddleback Church in California.

Then this:

Mr. Warren started by asking Mr. McCain, “Now, my first question: Was the cone of silence comfortable that you were in just now?”

Mr. McCain deadpanned, “I was trying to hear through the wall.”

Interviewed Sunday on CNN, Mr. Warren seemed surprised to learn that Mr. McCain was not in the building during the Obama interview.

She offers no proof other than he was asked virtually the same questions as Obama, who stumbled and stammered through his answers. If Obama had been George W Bush he would have been skewered by the left for his lack of articulate responses.

Her other proof that McCain just had to be cheating is that he allegedly wasn't in the building when Obama's interview began.

I think McCain has the moral decency to be honest. He stuck to his guns when presented the opportunity to be freed in Vietnam all those years ago and took the torture meted out to him. He even admitted his infidelity to his first wife was wrong, on public television, when he didn't have to. He hasn't lied about anything, as far as I know,he's done. He's always been an in your face kind of guy. As I said before, he has brass balls enough to stand on his own country's soil and try, un-apologetically, to sell us out to our faces. So I don't think he would listen in on a conversation when he promised not to then lie about it.

Obama did poorly. He had no teleprompter, no one spoon feeding his answers to him. Do you really want a President whose only claim to fame is that he's the first black presidential nominee for a major political party? This is the same man elevated to rock star status by a media who will do anything to get him elected and get Republicans out of the picture entirely. He is also the same man who willingly throws anyone, including family, under the bus for the sake of winning a vote to get to be president.

McCain did well. That's the long and the short of it.

Well enough for people to have taken notice. Well enough for some people to change their minds about him.

Well enough for me, an adamant "I'm only voting for him because I have no other choice." to consider making this a Blog For McCain blog. Though I'm in consideration mode only at this point. I want to see how he handles the accusations of cheating first.

This simply demonstrates John McCain's superior experience as compared to Barack Obama. John McCain has been in the U.S. Senate for a considerably longer period of time than Barack Obama. Further, he's actually spent more time on the floor of the Senate actually working.

John McCain has a few other advantages in this sort of forum. First of all, he doesn't have to carefully parse words to disguise his true agenda from the American People. He's a "moderate" Republican, and hasn't been afraid to state his positions whether they're popular with conservatives or not. Barack Obama is a Marxist and has to cloak his positions in moderate sounding language. That's hard to do without a teleprompter and a prepared response to questions that are known in advance.

I don't care for either of these candidates. I also don't really like these horrendously long election cycles, but this one has actually worked out to the benefit of conservatives. Without the long cycle, we wouldn't be finding out so many of the actual positions Barack Obama holds until he was in office. Considering his early performance during the primaries, it's likely he would have beaten John McCain.

Hopefully people will pay attention to the Congressional election this time. Dumping the Democrats running the House might be the only thing we can do to avert what's going to be a disaster for conservatism no matter which candidate wins the Presidential election.

Perri, on the length of the election cycle, I agree, it has been dreadful... and yet just imagine, as you say, if the public had not had enough exposure Obama and the media was able to carry the Obama-mania into the general election! Unfortunately, 45% of voters would vote for him no matter what, even if he grew horns... no, maybe especially if he grew horns!
